Confidence Boost for South West Economy
A $3.5 billion urea manufacturing plant at Shotts Industrial Park in Collie will further boost confidence in the South West economy. The plant is said to be the world's biggest coal gasification and storage facility, with 1700 jobs collectively being created over the life of the project.
The BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina expansion at Collie will create another 4000 construction jobs in the area, adding further weight to the South West's economic credentials.
