Possible Changes to the Points Test

This Discussion Paper has been developed on the basis of initial discussions with key Commonwealth, State and Territory Government, industry and union stakeholders. It is now being provided for broader public comment. It is expected that once input from the authorized bodies has been forwarded to the minister for Immigration and citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, he will make a decision on the 1st July 2010 to keep or change the existing points system for Skilled Category Visa's.
