South West Region is primed for developers
Property development has never been so competitive in the South West, with economic conditions continuing to improve after the global financial crisis, according to Master Builders South West. As housing and land affordability has increased there is pressure to keep up with demand. The South West continues to benefit from the Forrest Highway, which has facilitated investment in coal, alumina, fertiliser and water desalination projects.
The State Government has recently launched the South West Region Industrial Land Study that will guide the future of industrial land supply in the South West during the next 20 years. Planning Minister John Day said the long-term study would ensure an optimum supply of suitable industrial land was available to meet future demand. The study was launched in Bunbury earlier this June.
